The Battle for You

Satan, a fallen angel described as having had perfection and beauty became proud and desired to be God. Having been cast out of heaven, he seeks to steal us from our Father's love. But God has won the war! He fights for us when we find ourselves in battle with Satan. Check out these scriptures that we discussed:

Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-19

Use the following scriptures to answer what Satan is doing, what God is doing, and what we should be doing here on Earth. What was it that made Jesus call Peter Satan?

Galatians 1:6-9;
1 Peter 5:8-9;
1 John 3:8-10; 5:18-19;
John 10:10;
Ephesians 6:10-13;
Colossians 1:13-14;

Matthew 16:13-23

PPWW: Passionate, Powerful, Warrior Women

This Friday, the teenage girls of the church will come over to the house to revisit and delve deeper into their understanding of God's great love for them and their passionate response back to him. Hopefully it will be a time of strong bonding between them as they become true team members in the cause of Christ. (Not that they are not already members of the team, but that they will become less individual members and more corporate members together.) The books that have really helped get my thoughts organized while I have been preparing for this event include Waking the Dead by John Eldredge, Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge, and A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place by Beth Moore.

Stay tuned for more details about sessions and program extras!
